Our First Family Trip

We took our first family vacation. We flew out to Los Angeles California for 6 days. The flight there was awesome. We left early in the morning. Ella slept most the way there. It was a bumpy flight but we all were fine.
Bill went to the XGames and Ella and I hooked up with my girlfriend from Maine. Ann was my 1st and best friend since 4th grade. Mrs. Pomerlow's class. I remember it like it was yesterday. We played on the see saw together, those were the days. Anyhoo, We met up and went to lunch with our babies. Mackenzie is little over a year, Boy is she is cutie pie. It was so nice to see her after 10 years! It felt like we haven't been apart! I miss you Ann!
Bill took us to Beverly Hills. We drove down Rodeo Dr. and Mulholand Drive. We tried to look for the Hollywood sign but couldn't find it. We drove along the ridge line and it was amazing!
On the third day we went to Ventura. Our hotel was on the beach. It was so nice to look out and see the water and hear the waves crashing on the shore. Bill went into work for 2 days and Ella and I hung out. We took her to dinner for the first time in the hotel. Our meal was fantastic. I had Chicken stuffed with mozzarella and crusted with crumbs and a sauce. Bill had Ahi dish which he LOVED!
One day we drove up to Santa Barbara and went to some wine tastings. Ella had her first experience doing a wine tasting. Bill was the only one tasting wine. We then went to the pier and walked around.
When we came home we had a later flight. I knew that it was going to be difficult with Ella. She had a melt down 2 hours before we landed. We survived. A guy said to Bill "oh there was a baby on the plane?" " She is the quietest baby ever!"Bill was very surprised. However, we made it home at 1:30 am and went right to bed! What a fantastic trip!
